Dentists: everyone has a preconceived idea of what a dentist is all about. But who has stopped to consider all of the services that a dentist can provide? I live in Encino, and whenever I search for an Encino dentist, or help a friend to find one, I am always amazed at all of the services provided, the types of dentists there are, or even how many people elect to have dentists work on them in addition to the bi-annual checkups voluntarily.

Encino dentists seem like a dime a dozen, and maybe the same can be said for dentists everywhere, but I swear, every time I look around, it seems like a new dentist has opened up a practice. First you see the family dentist. It is kind of like your one stop shop for an Encino dentist. The family dentist is like the GP of the dental industry. You pack up the minivan and take the kids to him or her for your checkups and preventative dentistry. Of course, your family dentist will take care of your fillings, crowns, root canals and the like. Often times, your Encino family dentist will dabble in cosmetic dentistry too, but some people do prefer to find a different cosmetic dentist in Encino for these procedures. While I do not have an extended family to take care of, I do have a family dentist in Encino for my dutiful checkups.

I have never searched for a cosmetic dentist in Encino, but I have seen the advertisements for them. Any Encino dentist can call him or herself a “cosmetic dentist,” but I think there is more skilled artistry required for cosmetic dentistry. A cosmetic dentist in Encino, or any other place for that matter, should have plenty of before and after pictures to let you see the type of work he or she can do. While some people like big, shiny white teeth, some cosmetic dentists can leave you disappointed with teeth that are too bulky, or look too fake. It is important for you to feel comfortable with your Encino dentist, especially if he or she is changing the way your face looks.

Cosmetic dentists in Encino can take pride in helping not only the rich and famous to achieve the face of their dreams, but they also help the regular, every day, Joe the plumber type people, like you and me. While I enjoy my family dentist, I know there are several other types of Encino dentists out there. I also know that if I ever need to find a cosmetic dentist in Encino, there is probably one just around the corner; I just have to take the time to head on out there and look!
